Hi, I'm Rob.

Scroll to read my story.

Welcome to The Futuring Church! I’m passionate about keeping the church moving forward as the hope of the world—three decades of ministry learning continues to fuel my enthusiasm for a future with Jesus at the center.

At the heart of my work is a simple conviction: Hope is worth it. This is more than a saying—it’s the theological cornerstone of my faith.

I’d describe myself in three words: hopeful, persistent, and engaging. I’m that person who’s always chasing the next adventure, whether that means exploring new ideas for church or traveling the world - I've visited or lived in 14 countries and all but 7 states! When I'm not in the office, you can find me hitting the pickleball courts (yep, I’m a proud 3.75 PickleBaller!).

I'm an avid Ted Lasso fan. (I just finished binging the entire series for the 5th time!) And I try to live life inspired by the Ted Lasso quote, "Be curious; not judgmental." I’m driven by an irrepressible desire to keep leaning forward—imagining a future where the church remains the hope of the world. My mission? To help churches evolve with Jesus at the center, discerning and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Inspired by more than three decades of local church ministry and three years on my Doctorate of Ministry, I firmly believe that the Gospel is future-focused.

My journey started with a burning desire to see how the church can continue being a beacon of hope. I’m a firm believer that the Gospel is all about looking forward, and I’m here to help churches discern where the Holy Spirit is leading them. The best advice I ever got was simple yet powerful: “Bloom where you are planted.” That mantra guides me every day.

I know that if you’re reading this, you’re curious about where the Holy Spirit might be nudging your church or conference. If you share the desire (and occasional struggle) to know and follow the Spirit, you’re in the right place. I’m here to help you discern that guidance and take actionable steps today.

Whether you’re a lay leader, a developer, or just someone on a journey of faith, I’m here to connect. We all share that genuine desire—and occasional struggle—to truly know and follow the Spirit.

If you ever want to talk - whether it's about ministry, life, or even pickleball - drop me a line. I'd love to connect and see where the conversation takes us.
